Tuesday December 30, 2008 - Notes From the Journey

Tuesday December 30, 2008

I’m back with a review of Valkyrie.  I would recommend this movie to adults and that you see it in the theater.  The cinematography was very good.  The director of photography really captures the atmosphere of the battle fields, forests, clubs, and rooms.  This movie is very well acted.  A good portion of the cast are British & Irish (Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, etc) and they shine in their rolls.  They and Tom Crusie convey the heart of people who stood against what Hitler and his people had made Germany.  The convey the risks and consequences of there actions and how much it cost.
I can say that of the movies I have seen in theaters this year, this ranks second after “The Dark Knight” in quality and acting.  Go and see it.

A few notes:  I heard one curse word.  There was no sex.  There were several executions and two suicides, but they were not gratious and a part of the story that had to be told.

About the author: I am a Christian who desires to serve the Lord daily. I enjoy blogging, photography, working with Mac’s, and enjoying music and TV. I have a heart to serve my church and on the mission field.
