Quick Revew of the iPad 2

I have enjoyed Apple’s products and software and have been a fan for several years.  When my 1st generation Mac Mini started to falter, I made a decision.  Instead of replacing it with another computer, I would buy an iPad instead.  I had seen and played with the iPad at the school I work at as well as in the store.  Well my Mini died and I knew I would have to wait, because I didn’t have the money and the iPad 2 was on the way.  I figured by the time I had the money it would be an iPad 3 I would be buying.  Well I got a gift and was able to buy the iPad 2 (Wi-fi only), navy smart cover, Targus stylus, and Kingston clear back cover.

This device is by FAR my favorite Apple Device.  Don’t get me wrong I enjoy my Macbook and iPhone.  But for my life the iPad 2 is a GREAT tool.  I use it constantly.  At work I use it as a second monitor just showing my email.  I use it to surf the web and tweet.  I spend my lunch time reading on my Kindle app.  I use the Citrix app to access the work programs and files.  At home I use it in the living room to check email, Facebook, Twitter and GetGlue.  I have Olive Tree Bible software and use it for reading the Bible at Church and home group.  I use the UPad app to take notes on the sermon.  I taught at home group and used the UPad for my notes.  I even pulled up maps and photos to show.  I use Flipboard to catch up on news and blogs.  Last week, I was running sound for dance and ballet productions.  I used the iPod app to play the music through the professional sound system.

Thinking about the 2 weeks I have owned the iPad 2 I only have one regret.  I wish I would have gotten the 3G version.  I know I can pay the extra and use my iPhone hotspot feature, which I’m considering.  But overall I am very satisfied with the product and I look forward to using it until iPad 4 or 5 comes out.
