Friday June 20, 2008 - Notes From the Journey

Friday June 20, 2008

It was a good day.  I went into work and did a few things.  I then headed over to our district office to do some course work (so kids in Alg. Geo. & foreign languages get high school credit for them).  I worked back a school.  Then our office staff & guidance staff headed over to Bear Rock Cafe at University Mall in Chapel Hill (yummy stuff).  We were celebrating the retirement of our guidance secretary.  Today was her last day and we are going to really miss her.
After lunch, I worked non-stop on course work.  I got in the mail an iPod Shuffle (1gig) that I won from gspn.tv .  After work, I headed over to the church and got all the songs set up in Keynote so that everyone can see them.  The new iMac the church has rocks!  I then headed over to Food Lion and got a few thing and dropped them off at the house.  I then headed over to watch my church play softball.  They killed the other team (30 to 3).  I came home and loaded songs on my Shuffle.
While I was working at the church, I got a call from Dad.  One of his cousins is going to Africa and wanted some advice.  I filled him in on my Aunt Mary Ann’s email.  Be praying for her she starts cancer treatments at UVA on July 7th.  I also got a call from John Cobb.  We had a good conversation about Arts Alive things.  I’m so very blessed to be a part of the Arts Alvie team and have been praying about how the Lord wants me to serve there (more than just running sound for dance and theater productions).  Well I got an answer tonight and once again I’m bless to serve there.
Over all it has been a great day and I fell like summer is finally here.  It is so cool that my feelings and the actual day line up 🙂 .  Well thanks for reading.  I appreciate all of you who regurlarlly read my blog.  I’m trying to make more of a point of blogging less but blogging more meaningfully.
