It was a good day. The morning was nice until 10am. We had our last delayed opening of the year. (Kids start 2 hours late so the staff can have workshops and training). This morning our cafeteria staff fixed breakfast for both our school and elementary staff. At 10 the school day started. It was busy trying to get attendance in the system, check on student’s absences and more. After lunch, the pace slowed back down. I got some file work done. I worked with a couple of teachers on projects and did some state reporting.
After work, I headed to High Point (and saw Mark & Cindy Fox on the road). I met up with my friend Ryan. He and I have known each other since 4th grade. He got me involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and more. It is so encouraging to sit down with him and hear about what the Lord is doing in his and his family’s life. We had a great conversation over supper. They are getting ready to move and in process of looking for a church. It was sweet to hear of God’s faithfulness in his life. It was also great to share about what is going on in my life and what God has been doing. We then headed over to the theater and saw “Iron Man.” There are a lot of reviews out there of the move so I will not do one here. But I will say it does have a lot of redemption aspects to it. I’m just praising the Lord for this day.
