Sunday May 11, 2008 - Notes From the Journey

Sunday May 11, 2008

It was a nice day.  Today one of the brothers who will be a part of the church plant brought the Word.  He talked about how we can rejoice always.  He brought out the fact that we are capable of feeling many emotions at once.  Even the Lord Jesus was the “Man of Sorrows”  yet at the same time because of the joy set before Him endure the cross.  If Christ can have joy and sorrow at the same time so can we.  It was a great word.  I enjoyed talking with people and fellowshipping after church.  Today was Antioch’s 21th anniversary.  It is so wild to think I’ve been a part of Antioch for 14 years (4 in college and 10 since).  I’m so blessed to be a part of an awesome Christ-centered body!  I also heard from several people about last night’s Bible study.  I’m so grateful to the Lord for being able to speak through me and and hopefully encourage everyone.
It was a cool and rainy day.  It was nice to craw in bed and grab a nap.  Mom & Dad came down for supper.  We went to Mimi’s Cafe at Alamance Crossing.  We all had good dishes (I brought home leftovers) and we had a good time talking.  It was good to spend Mother’s Day with her.  I’m so glad she and my grandmothers got their cards early.  She even showed me the shoes she bought with the gift certificate I got her.  I’m so thankful for my parents and so blessed that they are here and a part of my life.
After they headed out, I just relaxed the rest of the evening.  I watched “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” and took it easy.
