   Today was busy but good.  We had a lot of subs in the building but things went fairly smoothly.  Some of our more challenging students went home sick today.  We sent home progress reports today and I worked on the potential failure lists.  I did some payroll work on bi-weekly people.  Today to finish up Teacher/Staff Appreciation week, the parents came and brought us lunch.  They also covered lunch duty so teachers could come.  It was really nice to sit down and eat and talk with people.  None of us ever have time to do that when schools in session.  I talked with my Dad on the way home.  The bad storms yesterday went North and South of them.  Our technology specialist at school lives in Greensboro.  He and his family were near where one of the bad storms went through.  The went to a safe place in their house for a while.  The were spared from any damage.  I went to Antioch’s softball game tonight (no a good one for us).  I caught up with people.  I was concerned for several families last night because of the storms that went through the northern half of the county.  But everyone was OK and had no damage.
