It was a good day. Worship was sweet and drew me in. Mark’s sermon on “Where is Your Faith” talked about Jesus calming the storm. It was awesome to get some insight to they type of storm it was, how dangerous it was (you had trained & experienced fisherman afraid), and how Jesus spoke and it went from a tempest to dead calm in a second. It was sweet to hear how faithful our God is. That He orchestrates the storms in our life and He will bring us though. We have to have faith in Him.
I headed home after church and had lunch and did a few odds and ends. I caught up with Mom & Dad on the phone. Then I headed over to Gibsonville. Marg, Shannon & I were catering a missions banquet. Gibsonville UMC had a team go to the Caribbean and work last month. This banquet celebrated all God had done on the trip. It went very smoothly and the food (Caribbean themed) was great!
I got home and relaxed a little. I watched the first hour of “Carrier” on PBS (I’ll watch hour 2 tomorrow). It is a series that follows the U.S.S. Nimitz on their deployment in 2005. It was very engaging television and I look forward to watching the rest.
