Monday March 24, 2008 - Notes From the Journey

Monday March 24, 2008

I’ve had a good Easter break so far.  I had a VERY busy day at work on Thurs.  Then I headed to Mom & Dad’s.  I went to church with them and it was a neat service of communion and a hand washing (instead of a foot washing) along with the readings for holy week.  Friday, I was called by work.  So I went to the library (where Mom works) and worked for 3 hours.  I had borrowed a Mac laptop from work and I’m loving it.  That evening we (Mom & Dad, Mary Etta (grandmother), and Mary Ann (my aunt) and I) had supper and then went to the special service at church.  Saturday, I helped Mary Etta put flowers on graves and had fun talking and sharing with her for a hour or so.  Then I ran an errond for my Dad.  Mom & Dad and I relaxed around the house that night.  Easter was good.  Dad & I got up and went to the Easter Sunrise Service (Mom is fighting off a cold so she slept in).  It was cold but a beautiful morning and a good service.  After the service, everyone headed back to the church for a pancake breakfast.  The Sunday morning service was great celebrating Christ and the new life we have because Him.  It was a quiet Easter lunch.  My Uncle Joe & Aunt Kathy and my Cousins Beth & Jennifer didn’t come because several were sick.  They did call.  My Cousin Cliff called.  He is in the Navy sub program and was out of state.  Well I slept in a little today.  I came over to the local coffee shop in King and had breakfast and enjoying the free wireless.  I hope you all had a great Easter.  See most of you tomorrow or later.  I’m back in Bur-Vegas tomorrow. 😀
