Monday December 31, 2007 - Notes From the Journey

Monday December 31, 2007

Wow this is my last blog of the year 2007.  It has been a great year.  The Lord had challenged, refined, and grown me so much this year.  He has helped me be more disciplined in my finances.  I’m on a budget and didn’t go into debt to go on a vacation to visit the Mancuso’s and my Aunt Mary Ann.  I bought a new mattress and box springs and had some car repair done.  The Lord has me taking better care of my body with better eating habits and exercise and I’ve lost 40 lbs.  He has blessed me to be able to serve more at school and in new ways.  I’ve loved serving Him at Arts Alive and catering with Marg.  I’ve had some sweet times with family this year.  I’ve re-connected with friends from college and high school.  My prayer life is deeper and I’m daily wanting to walk more deeply with the Lord.  All these things have come with many challenges.  But I praise Him that He has used those challenges to draw me closer to Him.  It has not been an easy year but it has been a very blessed year.  I’m so grateful to the Lord for the year He has given me.  Tonight we had our annual prayer service at church.  We pray for everyone in the church (in this service and after church the next few Sundays).  It is a great way to close the year and open a new one.  We cry out on behalf of our family and speak the words and verses the Lord would have us to share.  It is a sweet time and a blessing to be prayed over.  One of the major prayers for me was for a wife in the Lord’s time.  I whole  heartedly agree on that 😀 !
I pray that in 2008, that the Lord would draw you deeper.  I pray that the Word of God would bless you daily.  I pray that your relationship with the Lord would become more intimate.  I pray that He would clear any sin and hindrance out of the way so you may serve him more fully.  May the Lord move you out of your comfort zone and into a deeper serve.  May the Lord be Great and Great in your eyes in 2008!
