It was a learning day today for me. Work went well and was steady. One of our students is going through some medical things. Several of us who are believers talked about it today. This student has been on my heart and in my prayers today. That is a change from yesterday. I try to start my day out asking the Lord to open my eyes and ears to see & hear Him at work so I can join Him. I also pray that my eyes and ears would be open to sense the needs of those around me. Today reminded me of that and how easy it is to get caught up in the “work” of the day and miss the work the Lord has for me. It is so easy to get distracted by things and they can be good things. I was reading Ben & Amy’s blog entry about pressing in to the Lord and singing in the shadow of His wings. It was a sweet reminder from the Lord. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6) “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; . . . Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” (Colossians 3:12,17) I’m challenged to asked the Lord to help me put on a heart of compassion daily along with the full armor of God. I desire to see & hear what He does. I desire to have His compassion and to be His hands and feet to serve a hurting world.
Sanctified
by MercyMe
Let there be no condemnation for all who are fully known in Christ unspeakable grace for all the nations by way of holy sacrifice we worship with the sound of broken shackles falling to the ground.
[chorus]
Sanctified i have been set free grace divine has swept me off my feet.
No greater love has ever been known than He who came to find the lost no greater sacrifice has been shown than He who laid upon the cross let all creation sing for He has come and He’s changed everything. [back to chorus]
And i know that i will never be the same. [back to chorus]
