    It was so nice to wake up to the sound of rain.  It rained 1/2 way into work.  We needed more but we will take all we can get.  It was a busy day in the office with discipline & parent issues.  But it was a quick day.  I headed out a little early and went to Marg’s.  I helped her and Karise load the van.  We then headed to the Captain White House.  It was for the Alamance County Arts Council’s huge yearly event, the Beaux Art Ball.  It was a five course meal (corn waffle fritter with scallps & beand, a salad, a white bean soup, pork with rice, a fruit compote and asparagus, with “The Last Bite” a chocolate cake pyramid with a chocolate coating and more).  We had 2 teams of 8 serving the courses.  There were six or so doing clean up of dishes and refilling drinks.  Several were cooking and several more plating.  It is always busy and full of constant movement.  It went well.  The theme was “Fantasy Forest”  It looked beautiful in the tent with all the decorations.  They had a fairly good band and dancing.  They also had a silent and live actuion.  Hopefully I’ll put up some photos soon.
    I’m so thankful to the Lord for giving me the strength for the busy day yesterday.  I slept on an off but did get rest.  The reason for my waking up was not tiredness.  Yesterday I slipped coming up the stairs with two plates.  I banged my right knee but really got my left pinky.  When I fell one of the plates broke and I stabbed my pinky with a piece of glass.  I cleaned it up and got a band-aid on it.  Fortunately, I didn’t need a stitch to stop the bleeding, but there is not much meat on the top of your finger.  I stabbed it pretty good and it is extremely sore.  I’ve got it buddy taped it to my ring finger to help it heal.
